Many aspects of saddlery repair will be included in this course eg replacing girth straps, re-rubbering reins, splicing straps, re-flocking a saddle etc. The contents of this course will be tailored to each student’s interests and requirements. Some experience is required in hand-stitching techniques. We would recommend students complete the Basic Bridle course, or equivalent, prior to attending this course.

The training at Saddlery Training Scotland is excellent. Karen and Philip are professional and patient teachers who want the best for their students. I came away from each course with a skill which I’m proud of. I now have a greater understanding of working with leather and it was fun too!
